Two fantastic short plays. Dark, brutal, complex. Perfect for the long Summer holiday!
Audition/initial meeting: Monday 2nd August 5.30pm Malvern Youth Centre.
Rehearsals Monday 23 – Friday 27 August, 10am – 4pm Malvern Youth Centre. Performances Friday 27th (& possibly Saturday 28th).
Cost £40 for the week.

Blackout by Davey Anderson
AUDITION for 13-18 year olds; Wednesday 8 September 5.30pm Malvern Youth Centre
Next term’s project will be a production of Davey Anderson’s play “Blackout”:
“The play is intended to be a piece of verbal storytelling, left bare to invite different visual and theatrical interpretations. The words can be spoken by any number of actors, from one to one hundred. The lines may be altered, where appropriate, to suit the dialect of the performers. And the staging can be as simple or elaborate as you like. My only request is that some things are left to the audience’s imagination.”

Blackout is the story of a young offender, based on the writer’s interviews with a Glasgow teenager on probation. It’s a story of revenge, forgiveness and temptation. What leads young people to commit violent acts, and how can these kinds of crimes be prevented?
Blackout was first performed as part of the National Connections project in 2009.
Perfect Circle Youth Theatre will be part of the National Connections project themselves for the third time in 2011 – keep an eye on our website and facebook page for more details.
